Thinking Like an Entrepreneur

About this Course

Are you working freelance or as an independent contractor? Trying to get work in the on-demand or “gig” job world? Or, maybe you are just tired of seeing other people in your organization identify and seize opportunities before you do. If you relate to any of these scenarios, you need this course to get you to start thinking and acting like an entrepreneur!

In a freelance market, you need to be competitive. A recent study showed that the percentage of workers engaged in alternative work arrangements (defined as temporary help agency workers, on-call workers, contract workers, and independent contractors or freelancers) rose from 10.1 percent in February 2005 to 15.8 percent in late 2015. Include part-time employees into that equation, and the percentage raises to 40.4, per a 2010 General Accounting Office study.
